----------| HOW TO USE THIS FILE

You should consult this file whenever you have a question
before e-mailing me. If it's not answered in here, check
in the PC Game section of the message board. Failing that,
send me an e-mail about the problem. I do NOT answer

----------| ONE BASIC STATEMENT OF ADVICE...

Before you get mad about a certain bug, or want a certain
feature added to the game, remember one thing:

		THIS GAME IS FREE.

This game doesn't cost any money, and is 100% FREE. No one
is holding a gun up to your head and forcing you to play
this game.

----------| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can I get the source code to this game?
A: I am not giving out the source code for this
game. This game is poorly programmed, and many of
the bugs have been buried under mountains of code.
This means that fixing some of the problems is nearly
impossible. Second, if I release the source code, I
will get endless messages stating "You know, you
could have done <that> in <this> way." And finally,
I would get MORE questions from people who don't
even know what Visual Basic is, asking "How do I run
the game?" It's more of a headache than I want to
deal with. So, sorry. Please do not ask when, or if,
I will ever release the source code. If you wish to
make your own game, it would probably be better to
    write your own from scracth.

07/17/04 - Update to this answer

I AM *NOT* GIVING OUT THE SOURCE CODE TO THIS GAME.
PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR IT. NO, I'M NOT RECONSIDERING.
IF YOU WANT TO CREATE YOUR OWN YU-GI-OH! GAME, PLEASE
    DO IT FROM SCRATCH.

Q: Will there ever be an online version of this game?
A: As the Magic Eight Ball says, "Signs point to no."
There is a 99% chance that this game will NOT have an
online version. This is because I don't really want
this game to cut into Konami's profits, which might
    shut this project down.

05/14/04 - Update to this answer

DO *NOT* ASK ME *ANY* MORE QUESTIONS, OR SUGGEST
*ANYTHING*, ABOUT ONLINE OR MULTI PLAYER VERSIONS
OF THIS GAME *ANYMORE*. DO *NOT* POST *ANYTHING*
ABOUT A MULTI PLAYER VERSION OF THIS GAME IN THE
MESSAGE BOARD EITHER, OR YOU WILL BE *BANNED* FROM
THE MESSAGE BOARD FOR NOT READING THIS FAQ FILE
THOROUGHLY, AND NOT HEEDING THIS MESSAGE. I HAVE
*CLEARLY* STATED THAT I WILL NOT DO A MULTI PLAYER
    VERSION OF THIS GAME.

Q: Is there any way to get the card names in English in
    this game?
A: No. This game was programmed with the Japanese game
and translations in mind. Thus, all of the cards and
characters are of their Japanese origins. If you want
to play a game with the adapted English information,
the following kinds of official games are available:

    - One Gameboy Color game
    - Five Gameboy Advance games (with another on the way)
    - One Playstation game
    - One Playstation 2 game
    - One Gamecube game
    - One XBox game
    - Three official PC games

That's plenty to keep you occupied. Go to to your local
    games store and buy them.

Q: Do you need help? I'm a professional programmer
and could freshen up your program.
A: Sorry, but this is currently a one-man operation.

Q: Could I make your game into an online version?
A: See the answers to the first and second questions.

Q: How did you make this game?
A: The game was written in Visual Basic 5.0, a
programming language for Windows. It is NOT a
program that allows you to make card games; it's
a programming language. In order to make your own
card games like this, you will have to learn Visual
Basic. You can learn Visual Basic in a variety of
schools, colleges and classes. Consult a variety
of books to learn more about Visual Basic and what
    you can do with it.

Q: When I play the game, all I see is "Picture Not
Available" for the cards that I played. How do
    I fix this error?
A: It can't be fixed, since it's not an error. The
game has been programmed so that card pictures
aren't needed. This lowers the size of the game,
and eases bandwidth concerns. There are a
variety of sites on the Internet that offer some
of the pictures from the game. However, I do
not control those sites, so I do not know what
they offer, or how they do it.

Q: Can you send me all the pictures?
A: No.

05/14/04
Q: Where do I get the card pictures?
A: The game has been programmed to be able to be played
without pictures, so they are not needed to play
    the game.

07/17/04 - Update to this answer

DO *NOT* E-MAIL ME TO ASK FOR PICTURES. THE GAME
HAS BEEN PROGRAMMED SO THAT PICTURES ARE *NOT*
NEEDED TO PLAY THE GAME. *DEAL WITH IT!*

Q: Can you send me the updates?
A: The updates for the game are on the Yugioh PC Game
    Page for download.

    http://www.stormpages.com/edhrzic/Yugipc.htm

Q: I can't get the game to run. How do I fix it?
A: You have to be more broad than that. Look at
the error that it gives you. Look through the
massive thread in the PC Game section of my
message board (YES, READ *ALL* PAGES OF IT
*THOROUGHLY*). That should solve a majority of
the problems that you are having.

Q: How do I use the program? Is there a manual?
A: Check the EDOYUGI.TXT file for how to use the
program. Please read it through thoroughly.

Q: How do I actually play the card game? What are
    the rules?
A: There are various places around the Internet where
you can learn to play the Yugioh card game. Try
    the online rulebook at:

    http://www.upperdeckentertainment.com/yugioh/

Q: Are you going to add <this> and <that> to the
    game? You really should.
A: There's a lot of things I really should add to
this game, and a lot of things I want to add.
    Time will tell what happens.

Q: Why aren't the God cards invincible in your game?
A: My answer is:

                  BECAUSE THEY AREN'T.

You're lucky they are even in this game. If they
don't act like the ultimate cards that you
sincerely believe that they are because you are
underaged fanboys of the animated series and comic
series, TOUGH. Pull your head out of the clouds and
    DEAL WITH IT.

05/14/04
Q: How do I get to Stage 6?
A: There is no "Stage 6." Keep playing the game and
    eventually something will pop up.
